There are people around us whom we wish they could have replicates of themselves because of their good deeds and general sense of responsibility . This is to show how much problems/ gaps that we have in the world and are to be fixed/filled. So, when we see people who take responsibility for lifes and yet think outside of themselves to extend some goodness to others, we should indeed hail them.

Nevertheless, many problem will remain unsolved in the world if we all resolve into just being a good person and having a good life as our ultimate goal in life. It is not just enough to be useful, there is an aspect of appropriation in our usefulness. Out of ignorance, you can decide to randomly eat from your cup. The cup is still useful to you but the question is, is that it’s own appropriate usefulness? What will happen when you are thirsty and all the cups have been randomly used for eating? Has the cups solved much problem after all?

The same way, there are definite assignments appropriated for each individual to perform in life. Random good deeds will never suffice the role appointed to you as an individual to do. As long as we realise that everybody is uniquely made in shape, colour and potentials, you can not just make doing good your ultimate goal for living. If I may ask you, which specific good are you made to do?

This bring us to the fact that God made every man for specific and definite reasons. We are his workmanship here on earth, a way to fill the gaps, fix the problems and fulfil His agenda. Though God delights in you doing good works as others glorify Him through your deeds but this does not fully satisfy him. You don’t leave your own field undone and go randomly tilling other peoples’ . Purpose is personal and definite.

Ephesians 2:10 says: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained (pre-destined) that we should walk in them.”

The scripture above shows that there is a particular task/assignment that each one of us is pre-destined to do. Pre-destined mean it was assigned and prepared for you as an individual to do even before your birth. You can not possibly do all the good works nor should you randomly settle for anything. Which one are you created for? You have a DEFINITE PURPOSE TO FULFILL.

Having talked about the desire of God that every man should fulfil the reason why he created us, this knowledge is not enough. Every age in man’s existence has its peculiarities. In this age, we need to know that God has an agenda. An agenda for which he sends men. If there are no gaps to fill in the world, mission to accomplish, problems to solve, there is really no need for us to talk of purpose. Every man born of a woman is towards the accomplishment of this great agenda. In it, every man find his own position and fulfil his own purpose.

I need not to emphasis the fact that the world is really out of course in every way. Be it Economy, Governance, Morals, Families, the world is in great disorder. God’s great agenda of sending more men into the world is to bring order back to the system. He had sent so many men in ages past to prepare the ground for the great transformation agenda of this age. They could only do little but least they did their part. Men like Daniel (in governace), Joshua( in leadership), Job ( Business) solved problems as it pertains to different sector to which they were sent for.

The great agenda for this age of restoring order to the world system was pionered by the sent christ- Jesus, while every one of us only follows. The peak of man’s disorderliness that birth the troubles that the world system is facing today (corruption, bad governance, poverty e.t.c) is the lost relationship between man and his maker and this was resolved by Jesus. He is the foundation laid by God for every man to build his own impact on. In him alone, man can find purpose because we must first all receive order to our own lifes before we can restore that order to the world in different forms and capacities. If I will be blunt with you, a man resides in darkness until He accepts Jesus who is the light that gives light to every man. Whatever motivation you have heard before now will only cause you to move faster in the wrong direction without first being saved. It may appear good but how good can your works really be in the dark without a light to express it’s true goodness.

See what the scriptures says here;

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

The word of God highlighted above shows that you need to be a child of God to partake in the good cause of delivering our society from the bondage of corruption eating our lifes and system up. It is for God’s children not for just those who were made by him. You need to make a conscious choice to be adopted as His son through the provision that He made available in Jesus. You have a great part to play in this transformation agenda dear reader.

It is not just the preacher that is sent, even that business man is sent. If the world’s problem varies then men’s mission too must be diverse to fill each gap. Therefore, each men must seek to know his purpose not just what do to for a living (career). That is not enough! Have you asked yourself, what to do through your living (PURPOSE)?
